They said it couldn’t be done. They said, “Landon, you couldn’t possibly write another commercial that requires us to cast and train a live animal.” Dear reader, I proved them wrong.

Toad&Co is a clothing brand that’s been making eco-friendly basics for 30 years. After coming to us for a brand awareness spot, our research showed that people are looking for more than fleeting fashion trends — they want clothes they can spend their whole lives with. So we thought, why not frame it as an actual relationship?

The final spot was a cheeky twist on the company’s name, and a tender love story between a woman, her jacket, and a real toad. It leaned all the way into the brand’s quirky, feel-good tone — a perfect fit for clothes you can’t help but fall in love with.
